NEW YORK, Jan 10 (Reuters) - SG Cowen said on Wednesday that network computer maker Sun Microsystems Inc. (NASDAQ:SUNW) is likely to face increased competition after International Business Machines (NYSE:IBM) snagged a key server customer. IBM, which is in a "server war" with Sun, has "snatched away another of its rival's customers - Ultramar Diamond Shamrock Corp. (NYSE:UDS)," SG Cowen said. Sun, which SG Cowen rates as a strong buy, is likely to face increased competition from IBM and Hewlett-Packard Co. (NYSE:HWP) in Unix servers, the brokerage said.
