What struck me as well about the Chavez situation is that she admitted to not having been forthcoming to Bush and his people. That's not the kind of person I'd want in public office, for that alone. The topic of payment of domestic help is a tough one. I know many people who pay to have their houses cleaned ,in cash, at the behest of the cleaner . This is a moral gray area, IMO. But I do know that if I were ever thinking of running for public office, I'd insist on paying SS taxes to anyone who worked for me in that regard. What do you think of the Clintons' decision to put Socks the Cat up for adoption? I don't like it. He's their first pet, Buddy's the "newcomer". Why is it that so many people prize dogs over cats? I never understood it.
