You weren't surprised when Bush did this totally unexpected act, after losing the election to Clinton? Many security advisors and foreign affairs experts knew that it was an unwise and unsafe mission, which could bog down our country in an unwinnable undeclared "war". Sending our forces into an area, and putting them at risk, for reasons that had nothing to do with our national interests and was an obvious disaster, was an awful act!

Personally, I have never forgiven Bush for doing this. American soldiers were killed and wounded over there, for nothing. Or, was it for nothing? Why did President Bush do that? What was his motivation? Did it have anything to do with his losing the election?
