If you are talking about a perfect world where I get to make up the laws, I would support voluntary taxation for education.

If we ever have an election for benevolent despot, you've got my vote.

We all benefit as a society from the education of our young. Further, in order to be able to communicate it helps if we all have the same SORT of education. If you want to opt out of what is good for society you should (imo) be discouraged- hence the double taxation of people who opt out of public education is a good thing, imo.
