ALSC:

Gave a buy signal and started an up-trend yesterday morning on the 60 minute chart. Was able to close yesterday above the temporary double top from the Hs of Jan.4 & 5. It continued the upward trend today.

On the daily chart the stock is not yet on an UPTREND. It has to deal with the resistance at 17 1/2 before it can close above the 19 3/4 level.(Its down-trend comes down from the Hs in Jun.,Sept. & Nov.).

They reportedly have more than $14.50/share in cash and are selling below book.

They hold stakes in a number of publicly-traded firms, including BRCM, PMCS and UMC. The total value of the company's private and public investments is reportedly around $905 million, or over $20 per ALSC share.

Caveat: I am long on ALSC and thinking about buying more.
