Hi DS, terrific posts on NTAP-EMC today , Thanks! Closed/open architecture : I was always amused by the fact that , in terms of value chain , EMC acted the contrary of what a gorilla should do and was proud of it. When they talk about what they do with their big R&D budget , they show a slide where you can see a huge EMC warehouse, full with hundreds of servers of all possible brands, bought by EMC, surrounded by EMC engineers who write microcode to let these servers speak to their disks... I understand that NTAP doesn't need to do all this connectivity investment. Is that correct? Do you see NTAP publishing its WAFL interfaces for its industry partners? I haven't heard of it. Charles
