See my previous posts on details.

Basically, Chambers must know how closely he is being watched. He makes this comment, the first to even hint that maybe the previous estimates may be a little off, and the entire sector drops a percent or two.

All I'm asking is that since CSCO is such a big player and viewed as 'last man standing' for positive growth forecasts, that he make the comment outside of trading hours and also back it up with whatever hard numbers he may have.

Yeah, I was pissed. Yes, Nortel is a dog right now and I only day trade it for the liquidity it offers to Canadian traders (we have to be 70% Canadian content in our tax shelters).

One word in the middle of the trading day cost me five G's, and we still don't have the hard numbers. I think it was an irresponsible act. Just my opinion. I could be wrong.

Oh, one more thing. No company in ANY industry can maintain the kind of growth rates seen by CSCO the past few years. One day, that P/E of 83 is going to seem expensive. Again, just my opinion, I could be wrong.
