Chip ... thanks for the link ... I did use TradeStation waaaaaay back a long time ago when I split office expenses on some stuff with my broker .... among some other things we used together ... options/hedges, etc ... he moved and I quit .... I'll take a look later ... thanks again

Chip - Tradestation: yet another example of marketing. You can subscribe for $300/month, but get that service for $100 if you "upgrade".... They also have the WindowOnWallStreet service at $70/month I rank those services in two categories: cheapo's at $100/month and Bloomberg (ten times as much plus your telco's datalink). Maybe, the best solution would to have two cheapo subscriptions: if one fails, maybe the other one wouldn't. Users of BestDirect could also consider eSignal as it links with BestDirect for streaming quotes. Your Defrag symptom: this is normal. Running Scandisk before Defrag helps a lot. But when you do a maintenance of your hard drive (backup or delete a bunch of files) Defrag does a lot of work rearranging the FAT (first 8% of the bar). If you haven't run Defrag for a while, it can take up to the whole nite to Defrag 4GB of data. "Drive content change..." message is not really disturbing: culprits are Internet time syncs and other stuff but I observed no real improvement when I disabled those background processes.
