to find the guts inside the machine is lots easier than pulling off the cover, cause tis hard to tell from looking at the physical components themselves WHAT they are and sometims even WHO made em ...

pull up that now famous
System Property screen ...
clik on Device Manager
View devices by type
clik on the little plus marks to the left of each item
that will show the kind it is ....

some will say generic and some will say standard, especially the keyboard, floppy disc, etc ..
but the CD Rom, the CRT, HD, modem, and the other important parts will be indentified ...
