Fortunately, AMES has 25% gross profit, so earnings at year end depends on revenue. The higher the revenue; the higher the earnings.

Earnings could be easily swayed by a 1-2% reduction of overhead(100-150% overhead normally in manufacturing; 23-24% at AMES) from the headquarters. Cut down the levels of management by using email for communications to stores. Productivity is now the name of the game, knowledge management is email collaboration. Japanese is using extensive email management; management answers in minutes.
