CORV has something that no-other company including CIEN has......A WORKING ALL OPTICAL SWITCH! CIEN is still about a year behind CORV, and the same goes for NT. If you do your DD you will find the CORV switch allows 2500 miles of transmission WITH-OUT regeneration!! Tell me anyone that comes even close, present technology is 400 miles before regeneration.

Going forward companies like CORV and AVCI will build-out the next generation net-works taking the slack from CIEN, NT, and LU as well as CSCO and JNPR. I believe the OUT-STANDING shares 300 mil was created by a 4-1 split at the IPO offering. From my research CSCO owns 30% of the shares and the split was an effort to keep them from buying the company. This is only my opinion!! Remember my top picks from 6 weeks ago were AVCI, and NUFO over the last 4 weeks I have decided CORV is my BEST BET for 2001!

Good luck all!!

Raj, "All-optical" is still mostly vaporware. Lucent said they had theirs ready for release. . .over a YEAR ago! Ciena has been working on theirs for years. Their leader starts Corvis, which IPOs at 31 Billion Mkt Cap. . .purely on HYPE. . . now under 7 bil. . . and all on speculation that they had an all-optical switch. . . yet still nothing is coming to market. . . except maybe Agilents mirrors, but that is quite impractical [LightPath's Gradium Lens makes more sense than moving mirrors]. . . . Who else says they have one in the works Nortel? JDSUniphase? At this point, I'll believe it when I see it.

Raj, "All-optical" is still mostly vaporware. Lucent said they had theirs ready to show. . .over a YEAR ago! Ciena has been working on theirs for years. Their leader steps aside then starts Corvis [same technology?], which IPOs at 31 Billion Mkt Cap. . .purely on HYPE. . . now under 7 bil. . . and all on speculation that they had an all-optical switch. . . yet still nothing is coming to market. . . except maybe Agilents mirrors, but that is quite impractical [LightPath's Gradium Lens makes more sense than moving mirrors]. . . . GRRrr. . .Do you see why this drives me nuts? I read and re-read my posts to make sure that they are as clear as I can make them. . . [can't stand having to re-explain things over and over] . . . so I post, then choose a better word. . .then re-phrase a sentence. . .then add a thought. . .HMMmm. . .now our board is more like a chat room.
