TSO: Since my record as prognosticator is pretty dismal (remember, this canine, at the end of '99 saw "...nothing but blue skies ahead"), I'll just quote one of the many experts out there: Word On The Street "At this juncture, either this first quarter will prove to be a terrific buying opportunity, or we're on the precipice of an Armageddon," says Thomas Galvin of Credit Suisse First Boston. Doesn't that sort of insightful commentary just warm the cockles of your heart? As I've said previously, economically, we probably haven't yet fully reflected that May half-point rate hike while the cut won't show up till mid-year at the earliest so earnings/guidance will continue to trend down.
