Does that mean those missiles were being shipped in were for defensive purposes???

If we reserve for ourselves the right to judge the deployment in Cuba as being aggressive, no matter what the other side claimed, then it is only fair we allow China the same right WRT to our weapons deployments. If we are going to unilaterally decide the intentions of others, we have to expect the same treatment in return.

Military spending, incl that of the the US is always justified by "defensive purposes".

Back in Europe we have always watched in awe the mass paranoia of the American public. Here we were, within a stones throw of Russian tanks for all these years, and it was the US who consistently outspent all the western allies both in absolute and relative terms.

What were you guys thinking of? That Canada or Mexico would attack the US, beat its forces and rape all the mothers and daughters.

Panama and Grenada were valiantly defeated, against all odds. That was a good thing otherwise they would have occupied the States no doubt. Now we should write these mails in Spanish.
