<< Clinton, embarked on a path, that was clearly and specifically opposed by Bush. >>

Clinton should have pulled the troops out of Somalia immediately. But, it was Poppa Bush that placed them in there, right after he was defeated at the polls.

You can use any conservative spin you want, but the blame rests with Poppa Bush. He set Clinton up for failure, by sending our troops into a dangerous, lawless place. It was a stupid, wasteful, dangerous, and harmful to America.

It is incredibly reckless to saddle a new President with a mess, right before leaving office. It was arrogant! I'd like to see a full investigation.

<< The UNITAF mission was successful during its too-brief deployment through April 1993. Establishing safety for relief workers while keeping the warlords somewhat placated and off balance ... >>

Placated and off balance!? How long did that last. Successful? What a bunch of garbage.

I won't change your mind and you won't change mine. You believe that sending our troops into dangerous, lawless lands, without a good plan, and without national interests, is the way to use our military, even though it obviously and needlessly puts them at risk. I disagree with you.
