yes, remember the rally out of the Oct. 99 bottom (where the comms had a HUGE net long position)...we constantly had negative tick readings during the runaway/blow-off rally.

and WOW! they shorted easy Al with abandon it seems...can you say 'brass b*lls'? -g- most importantly, the non-reportable category is where the offsetting longs are mostly coming from...

note the NDX net short 4,000 contracts...that's VERY high historically. and the long/short ratio on the mini indices is the most extreme i have ever seen.
