Thxs Jack & Mark. Is speculating, using AIM with entry and exit points, worth the effort, or could you have done just as well, or even better, simply AIMing everything with a longer time horizon in mind?

I meant to bring that up in my post, but I forgot to.

Is speculating, using AIM with entry and exit points, worth the effort? In my opinion, No. I think that Tom, Bernie and others have proven this. And I believe I have proven it to myself. It goes back to picking good companies with good long term growth. For example, I speculate VTSS from time to time and make a few coins. Tom on the other hand invests in VTSS and is AIMing it for the long haul. He will win big. It is a matter of how you classify, as I stated in the other post.

Or could you have done just as well, or even better, simply AIMing everything with a longer time horizon in mind? In my opinion, Yes. I think eventually I will get there. It is just a matter of time before I settle on what is core (investment) verses speculative. Right now it is simply a challenge to find the right ones for core holdings that will prosper for ten or more years.

Now, how would you answer your first question?
Why is that it seems okay for AIMers to consider exiting a loser at the 'bottom' and not consider exiting a winner at the 'top'?

How would you answer the question if it were phrased for loser's?
