To risk being totally boring and returning to basics, I always think back to the notion that the value of a stock is ultimately the dividends it will pay...will the NAZ at a pe>100 ever pay dividends? Will CSCO ever pay a meaningful dividend? This guy Wolunchuchchipmunk sounds amazingly like Joe Battapaglia or Abbey. If the NAZ hits 5000 any time soon I am going to be one of those fools shorting it. Nobody listening to comments like chipmunk's seem to remember that trees don't grow to the sky. Is the sky falling? I hope not. Are companies in the NAZ that might drive the average to 5000 worth the money? Not with my bets. Us babyboomers will run out of folks to sell to in the pyramid. As for me, I'd be perfectly happy with 8-9% returns over the long haul. The chart of the averages is painfully like the charts of 1929-30. FWIW, Jim Black
