Thanks, Tom. I found it.

I have a suspicion that once you register for Select you get this new software which looks just like the old software except for that almost hidden Select button. So after registering you have much improved performance even if you never click the Select button (I couldn't even find it).

Maybe some users out there who haven't registered for Select could report if they see improved performance.
