Hi Ish,

I was just doing some investigation online into pellet stove inserts. Checking SI once in a while while waiting for updates and such.

Anyway, I know line loss must be a problem. That's why I'm curious about how importing and exporting power is done efficiently. Nihil seems to be implying that transmission isn't a big deal. But, as you can tell, I'm in the dark.

As for the overloading, you'd think some kind of fail safe controls would be in place to at least just do the minimum amount of blackouts in order to keep the rest of the system working rather than a system wide crash.
