You asked:Are the aimers hoping for a stock to double in 3 to 5 years OR are they merely hoping it will go up and down 300 times in the 3 to 5 year period ?
I think the key consideration is the use of the word hope versus reasonable expectation.

Hi Bob, I think I'm a bit late for your meeting, but I've been AIMing CHIR for years - actually a decade. The summary is at

It's the "large cap" of my biotech holdings.

I'm anticipating good things from CHIR during '01.

AIM was designed for flat trending markets, but it can work with growing companies as well. There's lots more cyclical companies with lots of analysts following them and they're easier to find than next year's highest flier.
