In what sense is the child the victim here? The children I know who are in this situation don't feel like victims. They feel loved and cherished that their parents can continue to live in the same house for their sake and amicably adjust their lifestyles in order to provide them with guidance and love. Being a good mother or father takes precedence here and the child is grateful.
