you'd have to be Californian to fully understand what Jorj meant. There is a certain excitement with earthquakes - I must admit. And, so long as you're at home they can be a bit of a thrill. I know - sounds strange - but it's true. Now, of course if you're on a freeway that's collapsing - well...... that's a different story. LOL! <--- uh, you can laugh or cry I suppose.

Back when I was a youngster...a college aged youngster, I wanted to be a seismic geologist. Alas, my lack of discipline wasn't too conducive to an engineering degree. Earthquakes and other natural disaster events are fascinating to me...and humbling. My poor wife has been forced to watch every show on earthquakes, hurricanes, tornados, volcanos, floods, etc....that has been shown on the Discovery Channel and The Learning Channel, at least 5 times each.
