Walmart also sales a song bird mix that contains a lot of sunflower seeds, dried cherries and raisins and two or three different types of nuts. I use this same mix to feed my front porch friend, Chipper. Chipper is a chipmunk that I have been feeding for about two years now. His food goes out at the same time every day and he runs to stuff his cheeks!!

The cats love to watch this show and will sit in the window and just stare.....sometimes they will paw at the glass!!

<and mockingbirds>> We have a pair of mockingbirds in our backyard. They nest and have youngsters last spring. I love these mockingbirds: they can have different songs with their action: flipping the wing, flying up and down on the branch ... They are used to dried fruits ( raisin, nuts) and
just plain seeds and leftover cooked rice and even boiled meat. The bluejay and the blackbird are really big food stealers. How do you keep them out ? We do have few visits from cardinals
