Whatever his religious or political beliefs may be, Mr. Ashcroft has continually sought legislation that subverts desegregation and women's rights when he was in Missouri. You can search the newspapers for yourself, but Ashcroft opposed VOLUNTARY desegregation in St. Louis. He wouldn't even let the League of Women voters register people to vote in the inner-city in St. Louis, which is predominatly black. Again, you can find evidence in the Press. .
