SDMC - Tis a puzzlement It seems that the whole purpose of the SDMC is to make transfer of data more difficult, complicated and selective. Exactly the opposite of what consumers want. It is such a potent dichotomy that even the Secure Digital Music Initiative cannot figure out how it should work. So the idea that there will be a massive push for a standard that no one to date knows exactly how it will work, and a push for a standard that will do exactly what consumers do not want flies in the face of logic as we know it today.
