mark-

I need to replace the battery on my Dell XPSR400. Do you happen to know if there is anything connected to it besides the clock? Any special procedure apart from yanking the battery out and sticking the new one in? I emailed Dell tech support but haven't heard back yet.

Thanks!

Rick

ps. My new Dell 4100 is sitting on my desk waiting to fire up. Discovered my spare monitor is missing its cables so have to make a run to the store to get those before I get the new box up. Also got to dig my DSL modem out of storage and dust it off as I didn't order a 56k modem for this box.

BTW, thanks again to all on this thread for all the feedback and advice which helped me deduce that a more powerful, W2K machine was what I needed.
