It is my fervent hope that if there is a Federal bailout to supply power to California, the rest of the U.S. does not get stuck with the bill for their stupidity.

Well, you can sure bet on you and I and everyone else will have to pay.
Here in Ohio, we have Ohio Edison who is jacking up our rates so they can sell cheap power to Seattle.
Every Dec. they raise rates so when you get that statement in Jan., they want you to think your Christmas lights were the reason. I don't believe a little Christmas tree uses $16 of electric in 2 or 3 weeks time.
Also, we're paying for Edison's nuclear plants. What the hell happened to the nuclear plants that were supposed to generate all that power, more than we needed, and cost so little? What a scam. The consumer gets screwed, again.
