MovingSphere,

You are so correct in these words about hindsight. I wasn't so much looking back at it as "darnit, I should have held". I was looking at it in a fashion of "how can I learn to better work through the initial congestion of the trade if the trend is to continue". I use tape principles for trading and am working on the introduction of TA principles into my system as I feel it will only benefit me to understand more about the market function.

Many times, the tape principles take me out of my trade whereas the TA would possibly show me it's okay to hold. I'm sure the opposite side is true to meaning the TA says it's okay to hold while the tape says, get the heck out.

Again, trading is about probability creating, not certainty creation so I will work the two into my trading in a symbiotic fashion and see if my account continues it's stable uptrend after my learning process gets me to a competent level. I can always go back to taking my 1/4 and 1/2s for sustainability if I have to which is my strength from a learning viewpoint. I know I can make money, now it's time to learn how to make more money :)

As for your meditation techniques, I'm a big believer in Eastern Philosophy. Meditation, breathing techniques and martial art principles of discipline and confidence go a long way within myself.

All the best,

Chris

MS...thank you for your excellent post it was a very good read.... Each trade is indeed a small battle, some leading to victory some to defeat. Regardless move on to the next trade...generally it will not help to question your last trade while making your next one.
