12/24/68. That secular peak was dissimilar to say, 3/12/00 NAZ, and 1/16/00 DOW, but you are ahead of the game if you think we are so advanced as '73 - '74. The '73 oil embargo was a special event that came on the heels of FED tightening throughout the year to subtract out the inflationary effects of the Burns' FED pumping in '72 to restore prosperity. The embargo actually relieved the FED of further need to tighten, but after the debacle of '74, they started the pumps going which sent us right back into structural inflation. It's a lock that we are in the control of wild in the streets pretense to knowledge. Proof: On CNBC every day the topic #1 is interest rates. You haven't heard that for many years. When you hear these amateurs say repeatedly that it all depends on what the FED does, you know the secular trend is over.

As for fee love, there is nothing that is truthful in our society. We have a society of liars. Truth is the religion of this age, and no one is religious no matter what Baptist church they preach.

"...an intellectually dull president steps in..." Hmmm, it is certainly the conventional wisdom that Clinton is unusually bright, but can anyone cite one lousy example of his great intellectual capacity? So many people seem to equate being glib with being bright. Our rapist-in-chief would seem to be the perfect example that the two characteristics are quite unrelated.

Hi M. Frank Greiffenstein; Funny that at the same time the country began to imagine that love was free, they also fooled themselves into thinking that prosperity was also the free right of mankind.
