I said that I agreed that books like "Heather Has Two Mommies" should indeed be part of the school curriculum, as they promote tolerance. No doubt the message intended is tolerance. It can also be argued that, this book promotes a gay life style. In making it part of a school curriculum, [you] are imposing your values, on to other people. When the Christian right does or is perceived as imposing their values, the howls from the left are deafening. Justifiably so.

As a new found Liberal I have found this stuff out about 'our' "avenegers" lesbian.org TACTICS Type of action. Avoid old stale tactics at al costs. Chanting and picketing no longer make an impression. Standing passively still and listening to speakers is boring and disempowering. Look for daring, new participatory tactics depending on the nature of your action. NY Avengers have used overnight encampments, daring Zaps in the halls of the Plaza Hotel, an invasion of the offices of Self magazine, a torchlight parade down fifth avenue at rush hour without a permit, handing out balloons to school children in an anti-gay district that said "Ask about Lesbian Lives, etc." Type of Action: Symbolic? Disruption? Interference? Education? Group size and composition: Avengers only? Lesbians? anyone? and I got pictures.....see I remembered them at WTO in Seattle peaceful Liberal marching for just causes...Destroy the Capitalist Pigs and stuff---aint too good at it-- but give me time -- I want to be a good Liberal.... see pictures...from a regular everyday newspaper (I read alot) The Seattle PI: seattlep-i.nwsource.com Plus this morning I tied my left shoe first.... good start huh?
