Thanks for the article. I printed that out in case I have a problem. The Dell site didn't have the info, at least I didn't find it. There is an issue with these CMOS settings, so I want to figure that out before I pull the battery out. If all else fails I'll read the Dell owner's manual.

Yeah, the new computer is a trip. When I was bringing the box in yesterday and realized how thrilled I was with it it occurred to me I MIGHT be turning into a geek! Yikes. We shall see when I get the machine up and running. Anticipating a maze of new stuff with W2K not to mention all the potential tweaks etc. Got to get a firewall, got to order DSL, got to find my dsl modem...heh...lots to do.

I'll keep you posted.
