Glenn, have you yet seen anywhere where AMZN has stated where their payables are as of Dec. 31? I am getting more and more convinced that number is huge and there's a big cash drain coming in Q1 2001.

Wow.
I was looking very good too early in the year in the taxable accts. But from Aug thrugh Dec, 70% of my gains vanished! And that, despite my seling a lot of what I had in Aug and Sept because I really was getting bearish. But I held on to some stocks waiting for them to take one more upward bounce before selling them, and those bounces never came!

Then in November I began to bottom fish and enough of that went bad so that i ended up with a fraction of the gains i had in the late spring.

I did not get fooled by that summer rally- I did not think it would last into the fall. But I never suspected how brutal and consistent the Sep- Dec crash would be.

>>>Maybe I can finally eliminate those losses this year.

Glenn,

Good for you!! I'm sure you will recoup your losses.
Always good to see somebody reclaim their money from the mkt. Something similar happened to me in '94, but was able to get my money back in '95.
