<<Cheney's wife: We got a twofer:>>

I think with Bush/Cheney we got a twofer. A leader and an advisor who could take over. Something we haven't had for 8 years. Both have level headed wives making it a fourfer.

I posted that on the Bush thread during the campaign. She's pretty remarkable. I think she'll make some hay in the culture wars. Like Bill Bennett said, "She'll be hard to muzzle."

James,

She certainly is talented. I had no idea before reading this. Thx.

Too bad Dick will probably be ready to retire after W's 8 years are up.

I read the clown thread, for a lot of reasons actually. Someone made reference to W, Powell, and Cheney being like the Trinity. I guess he didn't think too highly of W, as he stated that the reader would have to guess which one W would be. My point is that I think Cheney, and all of W's men, are going to be more active that some of our recent leadership allowed. Some would argue that this is indicative of some shortcoming from W, but I would disagree. No man has all the answers or energy to solve every problem. It stands to reason that we could expect an expanded role of the second lady too. Somehow Laura doesn't strike me as a person the least bit concerned or interested in holding the limelight. She will be focused on doing her part, in a quiet yet effective manner. Lynne and Laura might be a tough duo. Certainly Tipper and Hillary didn't set any bar.

But, I am really dumb, so just ignore most everything here.

HAGO
