Some Lesbian Avengers were arrested outside a Junior High school in Amherst, Massachussetts a few years ago. They were handing out flyers with addresses and phone numbers so the kids could attend lectures they were having. It was obviously a recruitment drive.

The town and the school board declined to pursue the matter.

I am reminded of the little boy who asked his mother ,"Where did I come from?"
Mom thought the time for "the talk" had come and she explained about love, insemination, pregnancy.
When she finished she asked if he had any questions.
He said, "Well, Mike's family is from Mexico, and so I was jsut wondering..."

Can you imagine being afraid to say to your child, "lesbians are women who love women?"
