Hi Tom,
Welcome back. Glad to hear you had a good time in Clearwater. I have a relative on the city counsel there and he will be happy to hear you enjoyed your stay.

You stated in your post to Bob: " I hope you got the minimums straightened out. The satisfaction of BOTH the min. shares and the minimum dollars is important to know to get the HOLD ZONE sized correctly."

While you were gone, Bernie got me straightened out on both the size of the AIM investment and the minimum dollar amount to be traded. Would you please elaborate on why the minimum shares to trade are important when most brokerage houses charge a flat fee for a trade regardless of how many shares?
Thanks,
Larry M

Tom - Again thanks for your response and concern regarding my trading dilemma last Friday

Being new to AIM/Newport, there are several points, which, being simple to most on this board, are perplexing to me. My background is non-tech related. Be assured, I am devoting all my limited spare time to study and self-instruction. I continue to wrestle with the relationship of dollar and share minimums, and may have specific questions later. The post by matvest and Bernie Goldberg have been very helpful.

Speaking for myself, some form of book (beyond that of Mr Lichello) or instructional guidelines more specific to AIM and Newport would be a boon. Currently, I am experimenting with various data in Newport and pursuing the time-consuming, but, enlightening task of reviewing previous post.

Tom, I have closely followed and am trying to keep up with your developing thoughts in post #s 14253 and 14427 regarding using the Idiot Wave as a guide in moving between 2X and 1X ProFunds. I am anxiously awaiting the AIM Newsletter update for this week to see the IW change. Have you determined an IW range that would indicate a shift from 2X to 1X in this current cycle?
