>>"I guess my future goals entail learning to lengthen that intuitive feel."<<

You will be surprised how fast your intuition can improve if you stop analyzing your completed trades in a mechanical way. Your growth of your intuition come from trusting your decisions. Do you realize that trading in our modern society is really a matter of making quick decisions? Decision to pull the trigger is an exercise that should be done by our subconcious mind more than our conscious mind. The conscious mind, as we know it, is full of our ego manipulation. How many times have you seen a setup and acted quickly and decisively that you felt good about the trade even if you got out with a small loss? This is your subconscious doing the work. And how many times have you seen a setup but couldn't pull the trigger because your mind was full of fearful thought? This is your conscious mind (or ego) doing the work.

By not allowing yourself to dwell on your "completed" trades with hindsight, you are effectively depriving your ego the satisfaction of control. By trusting your decisions and letting the trades go after it is completed, you are effectively telling your subconscious mind that you trusted its decision and hope it will contribute more. After awhile, decision making becomes an effortless task because your subconscious mind has gained the confidence and authority to take over the trade.

If you read about some of the greatest sportsman in our modern society, you will notice that most of them excelled because they trusted their own subconscious mind to do the right thing. Of course, their subconsious mind learned to do the right thing from all the trainings done in the early part of the hardwork and dedication.

Hope I'm making sense here...

Cheers!
