Here's one that I bought one of the first 24 bit color graphics cards made for $1400. They had dynamite autocad functionality as well. Still very much in biz. Maybe you should pick a different example. I just thought of STB and Intergraph as well......hummm

Essentially none of the companies that specialized in $1000 graphics cards in 1988 are still around, and that was only 13 years ago.
