What point are you arguing? I have agreed that Gore chose to protest only selected Democratic counties, and that it was a mistake on his part. But when you said, "It was the selective recount that caused ALL the legal problems", you implied that a statewide recount would not have created legal problems. There I disagree, because the Republicans were well organized and on a mission to create impossible legal hurdles for any recount.
