Don't make too much of the ice pick post. I can't believe its become this notorious! I was talking about a technique I had read about several years ago where Tibetan mystics would lightly hammer a wooden splinter into a certain point of the forehead, allowing them to have heightened awareness, amazing insights, power to see people's auras, etc. I have since been told that book was a hoax. The idea of wooden splinters was expanded by someone to include ice picks, but it was meant as a joke. I don't recall anyone being threatened.
