Hi Bernie,

WI would work for me too, particularly if the meeting is held in the spring, summer or fall.

Whatever the consensus regarding a location, like others here, I am in favor of keeping it simple and inexpensive, in order to attract as many AIMers as possible to the meeting.

Regards,
Jack

Hi Bernie, I'll check to see if there's any rooms available at the cottage up on Elkhart Lake. I guess to be fair to all the gamblers I should choose a place close to a casino!

Best regards, Tom

Hi Bernie, Just in case anyone's actually serious about coming to Wisconsin, I checked and there's a few rooms available at the cottage. I think we can handle 30 to 50 couples. Jane said she'd cook. :-)

Room rates at the Osthoff look like they'd be $99 for a 1-bdrm (with full kitchen, fireplace, etc.) and $115 for a 2 bdrm in a group rate. They have space available the first week of May. We'd get the Gottfried Room for our meetings for $45 a day for setup in classroom style (we'd probably get it set up as Gottfried A and B so we can carry on two separate meetings at once if needed). We can have a break out room available, too. I'll check on internet access, etc.

If anyone want's to gamble, we can get a limo or bus to take those to either the Green Bay or Milwaukee casinos. (sorry, I don't have any experience in either)

Swimming in Elkhart Lake is a bit brisk at that time of year. Ice might be a bit thin for ice fishing, too.
