YHOO is like AMZN - a terrific but not very profitable service that should link up with an established cash-flow rich media or retailing company for long-term survival.

If either one is bought or merged, short them at the open after the news. They should tumble like AOL-TWX for a while.

My January effect plays are still nudging up - LPAC, SORC, RCOM and MGIC. All are sound businesses with long-term prospects. I wish I had scooped up many more tax-loss sellers in late December.
