Hi,
With Newport you set two at the beginning. Thereafter you only have to change one of them.
My recommendations $500 minimum $$ transaction size and 5% of the number of shares for the share minimum.
You don't touch either of these until after you make a trade. When the number of shares change you change the minimum number of shares to maintain the 5% ratio. I know these numbers may be changed in mid-program with Newport, I am not sure that this may be done with the other two.

Hi JP, I don't fiddle with these numbers very often. For me it's been "set and forget" for long periods of time.

During the last 12 months I probably doubled the number of shares owned in some of my AIM holdings. In those, I have raised the min. number of shares to keep pace.
