Chuck: What's the mood in Oklahoma over the Keating-Dreyfus scandal? I tried to find some updated info last night via the Oklahoma City and Tulsa newspapers' Web sites, but I suspect they're too Republican to dig into this story. Not much in the way of follow-up stories, although the Tulsa World did write an editorial defending big Frank. What a surprise. I also found one letter to the editor critical of what Frank did, but that was about it. What was your reaction to the fact that Oklahoma Gov. Frank Keating accepted something like $240,000 during the '90s ... $10,000 per year per each of his kids (three) ... from the 87-year-old mutual fund giant? All of this was cleverly arranged, of course, so Frank wouldn't have to report any of the money. Looks to me that if Frank had done the ethical thing a decade ago, he'd be the vice president today. Too bad.
