Richard,

I've seen lots of articles which make incorrect statements about RDRAM performance.

It wasn't that long ago that most people believed that RDRAM systems would blow away SDRAM systems. Remember how surprised you were when the i815 benchmarks became available?

BTW: My Linux box uses an i815 motherboard, and it screams.

Samsung Electronics Set to Profit From Rambus Drams
SEOUL, Jan 22 Asia Pulse - With PC games booming, Samsung Electronics, a producer of Rambus Dynamic Random Access Memory (Rambus DRAM), could see profits snowball, an industry source said Monday.
Samsung is considering raising its manufacturing plan of third-generation Rambus DRAMs to between 120 million and 180 million from 60 million units originally planned, according to the source.
