You must have been reading the NYTimes or its progeny like the Boston Globe. Of course they were chosen because they were the most heavily Gore precincts. They were chosen for no other reason. In fact, that AlGore failed to pick up more in those areas was the reason the local Dems knew the Gore effort was futile in Dade and that's why they voted against going forward. That was a huge part of the complaint. Non-Dem controlled media reported that. I have no doubt that the partisan Dem NYTimes would ignore such salient facts, they always do. Remember, the NYTimes never claimed to be unbiased, they claim the opposite - they print the news they see that fits their bias. It's in their motto.
