Ted: Forget about the Europeans.. its your quiet, pleasant yet insidious liberal-minded neighbours to the north you should be worrying about :)

Fortunately.. since Dubya knows little or nothing about Canada.. we will probably get away with it.. heh

By the way.. you probably didnt see this as this was printed in the Canadian Press.. but apparently the FBI kept a big long file on Pierre Trudeau since 1951 - when he went to visit Russia.. he was branded a Communist subversive by J Edgar Hoover.. Even after he became PM, they kept tabs on him.... also went and surveyed his ex-wife Maggie when she split from him and was dancing with the Rolling Stones in Studio 54 in NY.
Plenty of the report was blacked out and censored even after released because of "national security interests"

And the only reason the FBI released it was because Trudeau had died.. and even then they insisted that proof be given of his death.. apparently the proof submitted was a NY Times Cover story of his death and his obituary - nice to see the FBI keeps itself informed on such things ;)

Ted,

I think the next thing he will do is take away favored trade status from any country that supports abortion.

I was actually very positively surprised when I read this article about Powell's desire to scrap most of the US sanctions: iht.com
