Examples would be, an attempt to show a film to 9th graders that explain that Homosexual behavior is a normal behavior. Is censorship the right word? Maybe not, but clearly the attempt to influence someone to a lifestyle/life-choice that is not the norm, is unacceptable.

Homosexuality is "normal", in the sense that homosexuals have existed in every society in the world, throughout history. I really don't think it's a question of trying to convince non-gay students to be gay, which is a pretty absurd proposition. It's more a matter of trying to explain to gay students that they are not abnormal, and of trying to convince straight students that the gay among them should be treated as normal people are treated: with tolerance, and not contempt.

Do you think these goals are unacceptable?

You certainly have the freedom to label people as "abnormal"- but if society disagrees with you, you will be marginalized. If society accepts homosexuality as normal, and if a majority want that idea accepted by children, then I have no problem with children being taught that, especially since believing it's normal has nothing (imo) to do with whether you are homosexual or not. If society rigidly adheres to the concept that there is something wrong with homosexuality, it doesn't stop homosexuality, it merely 1.drives it underground 2. creates self hatred 3.fosters a climate of violence and hate around those who engage in homosexual behavior.

Conservative religious republicans want to ban all kinds of books. You can find lists of the books they want to ban put out by the Association of Librarians. Conservative religious republicans have tried to ban Harry Potter, for goodness sake. Lots of that going around.
