Those were the types of "experts" I was mentioning.<g>

The CA utilities crisis with the bond issue on the way from the state---is what seals 50 basis points, IMHO.
It will just tip the scale in favor of 50bps. Even if CA was not an issue, there still seemed like a good possibility of 50 anyways. My point is that this helps make the decision a lot easier and the fact the market is forecasting a reasonable chance of this happening also helps.

That is why this is no longer just a economic decision on the economy in general. The FED probably wants to make it easier for CA solve the problem, recognizing the seriousness.
