True, the Ruby Ridge shooting occurred the year before Reno took office, but she administered the aftermath. She was indeed in office during Waco and approved the seige and the conditions under which the Koresh compound burned. She was also in office when the guy with the goggles hauled Elian out of the home of his American relatives.

You didn't look beyond your own prejudice for my point: From what I know of the cases, I neither approve of nor condone Randy Weaver, David Koresh, of Elian's American relatives or any paramilitary militia activities. We have laws for that sort of stuff. However, nothing any of these people did justified the seiges laid down by the government.

Reno was instrumental in the seiges at Waco and Elian and could have avoided or stopped them with little effort. The ends didn't justify the means, and she should have seen that. If she had been on her toes, Elian could have been on a fast boat to Cuba before his bluejeans dried off. She let the situations become unmanageable and has to take the responsibility and heat for that.

Nevertheless, Reno was funnier on Saturday Night Live than she was effective as Attorney General. The SNL imposter didn't stand a chance.
