mark, msn connects to the web ok, but e-mail is still not working. Last time it kinda worked was last night. MSN home page shows I have 0 e-mail when I should have dozens. I can excuse an outage but not failure to inform the customer by posting on the msn home page. Glad I'm not running a business.

Hi Mr Mark and thread. I am having a problem trying to do a thorough Scandisk on my hard drive. The drive is a 20gb drive with about 5.20gb used. After what seems like forever, I get a message that it has tried 10 times and that something is running and preventing the scan.

I use EnditAll as well as MSCONFIG and removing all check marks in the start folder. Ctrl+Alt+Delete shows nothing running except Explorer (not even Systray).

I then ran a defrag and it stopped about 4 times because of changed files, but eventually did finish.

My computer is a Micron Millenia Max 600Mhz with 128Mb of memory and I am using Windows Me and IE5.5. I was trying to do this so that I could use Drive Image 4.0, which I knew was going to bring me here for help, but didn't expect to get stopped so soon.<gg>

Anyone have any ideas? TIA

Bob
